To capture authentic stories and behind-the-scenes processes of food culture, while developing practical skills in interviewing, filming, and storytelling.
One of my earliest independent projects, Food in the Making is a mini-documentary exploring Chilean culinary culture through the lens of a local food truck and an empanada shop.
What I use today as a professional microphone was, at the time, simply a phone with a sock to improve audio quality. Without access to professional equipment, I was driven by curiosity and a strong desire to gain hands-on experience in documentary filmmaking.

About the Project
A 5.5-minute mini-documentary that captures authentic insights into food culture. Using just a phone with a sock to capture audio, I learned how to make the most of limited resources and took the initiative to create a complete documentary, laying the groundwork for more professional projects later.
